- Brenda Kaufman-Berman Memorial Fund
- The Brenda Kaufman-Berman z"l Memorial Fund is the first tzedakah (charity fund) connected to the Masorti (Conservative) Movement in Israel which supports social action and medical reform in Israel. Projects in these areas that may be considered for support by the Fund should have some connection with a Masorti (Conservative) institution. Support is given in the form of monetary grants.
The Fund is named for a young woman who died tragically in January 1994 from complications after what was supposed to have been a very simple operation. The goals of the Fund were established to promote the idea of social action in Israel, because it's the kind of work that Brenda was involved with; and to promote the improvement of medical care in Israel and raise awareness of medical issues. The fund also strives to call attention to deficiencies in the medical system that could lead to a death as senseless as hers.

- Center for Cultural Judaism
- The Jewish community needs to reach out to cultural, secular and non-religious Jews. We need to welcome cultural Jews with more programs and services, and offer celebrations and education consistent with their beliefs. We need to train and ordain more rabbis and leaders to help secular, cultural and Humanistic Jews celebrate their Jewish identity with honesty and integrity. We need to accept that the broader Jewish community has largely failed to meet the needs of non-religious, cultural, secular and Humanistic Jews. We need your help to bring about this renaissance in Jewish life.
