  • Camp JORI - Camp JORI, the only Jewish overnight camp in Rhode Island, has been providing memorable summer experiences for children since 1937. As we look forward to our next season, a quote from one of our satisfied campers sums up the feeling of JORI best: "Camp JORI is better than Disneyland because you're there longer and have more fun!" At JORI, we aim to develop a community of respect and cooperation, while recognizing the individual needs of campers. Our staff works hard to help each child reach his or her potential in our comprehensive program of sports, activities, Jewish culture and friendship along with a large dose of that JORI "family feeling." Dietary laws of kashruth are observed. Camp Director Ronni Guttin has been a JORI camper, counselor, and Assistant Director. All of Ronni's children are JORI campers. She leads a team of skilled counselors, who make a summer at JORI a great camping experience. Camp JORI is governed by a 30-member Board of Directors, many of whom are parents of campers or former staff members or both.
