Soc.Culture.Jewish FAQ and Reading Lists

[*] LOS ANGELES TIMES PICK The Frequently Asked Questions is a collection of questions that are continually asked on soc.culture.jewish, with corresponding answers. It addresses a wide range of subject matter from Jewish Law and Tradition to Newsgroup Administration to Jewish Internet Resources. It was written by cooperating laypeople from the various Judaic movements.

Part 5 of the FAQ was awarded a Times Pick by the Los Angeles Times on 12-Sep-96.

[*] The Soc.Culture.Jewish Reading Lists provide suggestions for books discussing various Jewish topics. While no book can substitute for a formal course of instruction guided by one's Rabbi, these books are useful as reference material for the knowledgeable, and as an introduction for the not-yet-knowledgeable about Judaism.

An Autoresponder is available; through it, you may request any part of the FAQ or Reading List by Email.
