Before any installing can be done, you must un'zip the modules to floppy disks. All zip's are designed to be unzipped from a hard disk onto one 360k floppy each. If you are using a higher density disk you may place as many module pieces on it as will fit on a disk. For instance, if you are using 1.44 floppies. You can put all the SCHOLAR text modules on 4 disks, laying them out in numerical order per disk. Be sure to label the disks so you can insert the correct disk when prompted. Note: If you need pkunzip, it can be found at /mirrors/msdos/zip filename is pkz204g.exe. This is a self extracting zip -- by executing the program it will produce the pkunzip program. First Time Install: Place the OLB program disk (the one you un'zipped OLBnnnn.ZIP onto) in your drive and type: GO. This will display some info and prompt you to type INSTALL. Once the program portion of OLB is installed, an additional install menu will appear. By selecting 'a' on that menu, you may install Texts, Cross Refs, Notes, Lexicons, etc. Installing More Modules at a Later Date: Place your OLB program disk in the drive and type INSTALL. The Install program will sense you already have the programs installed and will ask you if you want to re-install them. Answer 'NO', and proceed to the install screen where you can install more modules. Assistance: If you are having problems with the install, try booting from a floppy before running 'install'. If you are trying to run install from the hard disk, please go back a few paragraphs and re-read the install instructions. OLB is not designed to install from the hard disk -- it *must* be done from floppy. A common problem reported is a 'crc' error due to unzipping on a non-MS-DOS platform. If you get a 'crc' error during install: be sure you pkunziped in a real MS-DOS environment.
